Statement of intent
Brief 1 - magazine:
My magazine is aimed at white males between the ages of 10 and 13 who are interested in football, hence why I will have a white male as my main model for my magazine. The pictures in my magazine will be predominately at eye level to the reader and are mid shots. Having the pictures at eye level means that the model/pro footballer are at the same level as the reader and it makes the reader connect to the magazine and believe that they can be like the model in the magazine themselves. The colours in my magazine will be bright colours such as, green and blue. Also, these colours are typically associated with a male audience and the bright colours will make the reader feel welcome. The font on the front cover of my magazine will be Atma Bold, which will interest my target audience of 10-13 year olds because the font is informal and fun. The title of my magazine will be "GOAL." This title shows that my target audience can reach their goals and exceed in life, as the pro footballer in my magazine will give an example to my audience as a person who has reached their goals.
The main image on my front cover will be of the pro footballer (John Davidson) at eye level with the audience and he'll have a smile with his arms crossed. The model having a smile shows his funny and likeable side, however the model having his arms crossed will show the serious of professional football and that you have to seriously commit to become a pro. The main image of my article will be of the model holding a blue football with a concentrated look. This will show that he is serious about his professional football career and that you have to be dedicated to reach your goals. However, this will not be my main cover image because I want to portray the model with a likeable personality, with him not being serious all the time.
